My iPod Touch arrived today, and I definitely do not regret my decision to get one. I ended up getting Jeff one too since he really wanted one after I purchased mine. We spent a good portion of the day messing around with them. I first put on all the music I wanted on it, which is something I'd been wanting to do with my old iPod anyway. I'd downloaded a bunch of new songs over the last month or so that hadn't been on the other one. I was also getting tired of skipping a bunch of songs when I had it on shuffle. After doing this, I realised that I may have overestimated how much space I needed. I have around 10 gb of music on my computer, but I only wound up putting about 1.5 gb on the iPod. Oh well...I'm sure I'll make use of the other 14.5 gb someday.
After the music came the apps. This was what I was most excited about, and I was not let down. I found a couple of games to buy and a few lite (free) versions of games to try. There are also a couple I'm going to want to buy eventually. I bought a silly game called "QuitIt!" All it is is poking a funny looking character with different pokers. It's just a bit of mindless fun with cute graphics and sound. I also bought a Sudoku game that I really liked. I'm not sure about the game I was most looking forward too. It's called "Color Cross," and I just got the lite version. It's a Picross (my fav) type game. It involves filling in a grid with different colors to make a picture. I had a problem getting the spaces filled correctly. As the grids got bigger, the spaces got smaller, and I kept hitting the wrong space. I'm going to give it another try though. I'm hoping that it's just that I need to get used to the touch screen or that it'll be better after I cut my nails (they're a little long right now). I know I'd love the game if I can get it to work better.

I like mine an awful lot, too.
ReplyDeleteI think the apps for it are going to be really great. I think it's funny how it's a music device that we'll probably end up playing games on more than anything!!
